Walter Dennis

Walter Dennis, 90, of New Martinsville, WV died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1926 in Tyler Co., WV, a son of the late Charles A. and Stella Minger Dennis. Walter retired from the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, OH and was a member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ, New Martinsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lexie M. Freeman Dennis; four brothers: Edgar, Coy, Russell and Leo Dennis; three sisters: Hazel Cooper, Ida Underwood and Iva Richards. Survivors include three sons: Randy (Melody) Dennis of Paden City, WV, Neal (Christine) Dennis of Virginia Beach, VA and Roger Dennis of Middlebourne, WV; one daughter: Lorna (David) Leddy of Wheeling, WV; four grandchildren: Megan (John) Billetz, Erin (Andy) Duran, Ryan (Kahla) Dennis and Shawn Dennis; one great grandson: Clayton Walter Dennis and one sister: Edna Damicone of Ravenna, OH. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Sistersville where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday. Interment will follow in the Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City.
