William "Bill" Goodfellow,

William J. "Bill" Goodfellow, Jr., 87, of Sistersville, WV, passed away April 17, 2020 at his home, after a long battle with cancer. He was born May 7, 1932, in Highland Park, MI, a son of the late William J. Goodfellow, Sr. and Faye P. Beaver Goodfellow. Bill worked in maintenance and retired as a Supervisor at PPG Industries after 40 years of service. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War and he was a Superintendent for 21 years at Zion United Methodist Church. He also loved the outdoors. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 69 years, Estella Buchanan Goodfellow of Sistersville, WV; sons, Greg (Shirley) Goodfellow of Friendly, WV and Mark (Brenda) Goodfellow of Sistersville, WV; sisters, Marilyn (Bob) Flynn, Connie (Doug) Sapp and Ann Stoddard; grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Cozad, Shandra (Jarad) Ice and Amanda Goodfellow; great-grandchildren, Austin Cozad and Jackson Cozad; sister-in-law, Linda Groves; nieces, Kay (Don) Steward and Stacey (Danny) Carney and nephew, David Goodfellow and special friends, Barbara and Ralph McCloy, Susan Clegg and Frank Brogden. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Goodfellow; grandson, Chase Tyler Goodfellow and father and mother-in-law, Sherman and Pauline Buchanan. Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Journey Hospice, 314 S. Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175.
