William "Bill" Meredith

William Henry “Bill” Meredith, 91, of Sistersville, WV passed away December 24, 2012 at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, WV. He was born, July 1, 1921 in Tyler County, WV a son of the late Presley and Grace Garman Meredith. Bill was a US Army Veteran of WWII, he had worked at Rand’s Jewelry as a watchmaker, and he was retired from Union Carbide. He was a member of the Osiris Shrine, the Pursley Church of Christ and he was a avid farmer. He is survived by one son, Jan Meredith of Sistersville, one daughter, Luanne (Matthew) Beard of Sardis, OH, granddaughters, Emily, Lauren, & Megan Beard of Sardis, brother, James Robert (Gloria) Meredith of Port St. Lucie, FL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann McIntyre Meredith in 2010. Services will be held Thursday, December 27th at 11:00 AM at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
