Wilma E. Fiest

Wilma E. Fiest, 86, of Sistersville, WV, passed away December 9, 2010 at Sistersville Center surrounded by family. She was born March 25, 1924 in Tyler County, a daughter of the late Elmer Michaels and Alley Tallman Michaels. Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church in Sistersville. She was retired from the A & P Co. and a former employee of GC Murphy Co. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #6327 and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #67. Wilma is survived by her son, Buddy (Rhonda) Fiest of Sistersville; daughters, Sharon (Steve) Farrell of Columbus, OH, Sue (Jack) Buchanan of Sistersville, Darlene (Charlie) Henderson of Meadville and Beverly (Kenny) Greenlee of Spring Hill, FL and; sister, Marjorie Racer of Sistersville; brother, Virgil Michaels of Parkersburg, WV; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Harry and sisters, Edna and Irene. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the American Legion Post #67, PO Box 105, Sistersville, WV 26175 or the VFW Post #6327, 504 Diamond Street, Sistersville, WV 26175. There will be a graveside service Monday at 2:00 pm at Friendly Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Willison officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
