Zelma D. Grove

Zelma D. Grove, 98, of Pt. Lookout Community, Pleasants County, WV, passed away January 26, 2012 at Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 15, 1913, in Rippentuck, Tyler County, a daughter of the late Joseph N. Summers and Florence P. Haught Summers. Zelma worked at Paden City Pottery as an artist for 25 years and she was a member of Mt. Nebo Church of Christ and Bens Run Church of Christ. She is survived by sons, Gary (Linda) Groves and James (Blye) Grove; daughter, Madonna McPeek (Oliver “Butch”) Smith; sisters, Betty Campbell and Twyla Hanlin; grandchildren, Cindy Groves, Lee Groves, Rick (Tonya) McPeek, Lisa (Brian) Wagner, Jonathan (Tracey) Grove, Joseph (Debbie) Grove, James (Ann) Grove, II and Adrianne Grove and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Grove in 2002; brothers, Orie “Buck” Summers, William “Bill” Summers and Charles Summers and sisters, June Potts, Mary Weekley, Violet Cline and Jessie Summers Kriston. Services will be Monday at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with Evangelist John Keith officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Myers Funeral Home.
