Barbara Vincent

Barbara Vincent, 88, of Sistersville, WV, passed away January 9, 2024 at home.

She was born December 16, 1935, in Tyler County, WV, a daughter of the late Russell Ferrell and Chloe Underwood Ferrell.

Barb was a vital asset to the community of Sistersville.  She was a stoic and gracious lady who will be missed by so many in the community.

Barb was a member of the Oxford Street Church of Christ and retired after 45 years of service from First Federal Bank in Sistersville where she served at the Vice President.  She served at the Secretary of the SHS Alumni Association for 25 years and President of the Tyler County Development Authority for 15 years.  She served on multiple committees supporting Sistersville, including Sistersville Cemetery Association and ArtsLink.  She enjoyed listening to Mountaineer Sports on the radio and loved her Friday night dinners with her friends.

She is survived by her sons, Eric (Connie) Vincent of Sistersville, WV and Barry (Kate) Vincent of Seattle, WA; grandson, Kellen Vincent; step-granddaughters, Sabrina (Chad) Buchanan and Brandi (Rick) Walton; step- great grandchildren, Sydney (Dylan) Reynolds, Jace Reed, Jaxon Buchanan, Brylee and Zander Henderson and Breagan Walton; step-great great granddaughter, Leighton Reynolds and special nieces, Teresa Rader Hamrick, Beth Rader Plummer and Shelley Rader Shamblin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll D. Vincent and sister, Betty Rader.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home with her son, Pastor Eric Vincent officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 6-8 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Myers Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
