Betty Lauer Blatt

Betty Lou Lauer Blatt, 71, of Paden City, WV, passed away February 2, 2011 at home. Betty was born May 31, 1939, a daughter of the late Carl Lauer and Sarah Loughner Lauer. She was retired from Wiser Oil Company and she attended Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Paden City. Betty is survived by her husband, Frank Blatt of Paden City; sons, Franklin Thomas (Tiffany) Blatt of Smithfield, VA, Jeffrey Scott (Jaymie) Blatt of North Bend, WA, Robert Allen (Tammy) Blatt of New Martinsville; daughter, Donna Lynn (Mike) Smith of Paden City; brothers, Donnie Lauer of Sistersville and Bruce Lauer of Canton, OH; sister, Cheryl Blatt of Sistersville; grandchildren, Derek Ingle, Amber Racer, Leila Abu-Robb, Cassi Smith, Olivia Blatt, Reece Blatt, Garrett Blatt and Jeff Blatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Lauer and sister, Bride Lauer. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Paden City with Father Jim McCafferty and Deacon Rod Fagert officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 at Myers Funeral Home with Christian Wake Service at 4:00 pm and recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 pm. Interment will be at Paden Memorial Gardens.
