Carmen Silliman

Carmen Silliman, 83, of Sistersville, WV, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born October 29, 1938, in Sistersville, WV, a daughter of the late Robert "Doc" Grimm and Sadie Railing Grimm. Carmen and her husband, Jerry, owned Ace Hardware in Sistersville for 41 years.She was a member of the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene and she enjoyed reading and watching football.Carmen was a community volunteer, serving on the Sistersville Ferry Board, the Sistersville Planning Commission, the Sistersville General Hospital Board and the Sistersville Community Service Organization. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Silliman; son, Mike (Patricia) Silliman of St. Marys, WV; daughters, Sherry (Ed) Dalrymple of Sistersville, WV and Pam (Bryan) Simms of King George, VA; grandchildren, Jasmine (David) Howell, Sadie Silliman, Zoe Simms and Wesley Simms; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Grace Howell; brother, Dan Grimm, special friend and sister-in-law, Carol Kehrer and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Welch. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Sistersville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bob Henderson officiating.
