Clara Jean Skidmore

Clara Jean Skidmore, 67, of Sistersville, WV formerly of New Martinsville, WV passed away August 14, 2012 at her residence. She was born December 28, 1944 in Buckhannon, WV a daughter of the late Orie and Letha Murill Casto Carper. She was a homemaker and catholic by faith. She is survived by her children, Lewis Jackson (Melody) Skidmore of Phillipi, WV, Kelvin (Tracy) Nicholson of New Martinsville, WV, Roger (Linda Lee) Nicholson of Middlebourne, WV, Sarah (Tim) Patterson of Middlebourne, WV, grandchildren, Mitchell Bland, Mila Nicholson, Melea Bland, Lauren Patterson, Kennedy Patterson, Marc A. Skidmore and Amanda Deann Duckworth, great-grandson, Randy Lee Skidmore, one brother, Gaylord Carper of Ashtabula, OH, and one sister, Betty Bise of Buckhannon, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Andrew Skidmore, and 16 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 16 at 2 PM at Myers Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Pastor Troy Guild officiating. Calling hours will be on Thursday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to Myers Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Sistersville, WV 26175 to help with unexpected expenses.
