Mary "Kay" Bell

Mary Virginia "Kay" Bell, 90, of Friendly, WV, passed away on October 18, 2022 at Wetzel County Hospital.

She was born February 9, 1932, in Bens Run, WV, a daughter of the late Thurman Cunningham and Nina Wagner Cunningham.

Kay was a member of the Pursley Church of Christ and she worked for Miller's Pharmacy.  She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed quilting and she was an accomplished cook.  Most of all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Bell, with whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage this past September 14, 2022; sons, William "Bill" (Mary Ann) Bell of Pittsburgh, PA and Steve (Tracey) Bell of Friendly, WV; grandchildren, Amanda (Gordon Nester) Bell, Katherine (Eric) Bretcko, Mindy (Adam Wayne) Bell, Matthew (Jessica) Thrower, Carrie (Joshua) Verdi and Sarah (Robert) Higgins; great-grandchildren, Easton Wayne, Scarlett and Willow Bretcko, Aubrey and Grant Thrower, Natalia and Jonah Verdi and Samuel, Emmett and Annie Higgins and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Myers Funeral Home with Dwight Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Friendly Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday and one hour prior to funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home.
